AJ Furniture is a small, family-run business which specialises in bespoke furniture-making, creating unique items to order ranging from fitted bedrooms, home offices and living spaces to individual sideboards and bookcases.
Our aim is to provide a friendly, personal service supplying quality furniture designed specifically for your individual requirements. Each piece of handcrafted work is important to us and we take the time to guide you through the material and design choices before any part of the build is started. Provide us with pictures of something similar that you like or even a simple pencilled sketch and we will work with you to arrive at the perfect design to suit your needs.

Alan worked in the furniture industry his entire career and retired some years ago having passed on his skills and knowledge to his son Nigel who now runs the company.
Our focus is on delivering high quality, handcrafted, bespoke furniture for individuals, interior designers and developers throughout Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and beyond.

Our workshop and showroom is based on the border of Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire and it is here that we craft our bespoke furniture.
All our work is created in-house in our traditional workshop which also has facilities to spray finish and lay veneers in our veneer press.

At our showroom near Royston, in Hertfordshire, we have a display of some of the most popular types of furniture we supply including traditional oak and pine alongside more contemporary pieces.
The full range we have access to is quite varied and often a bit different to furniture more commonly found on the high street including French and Venetian reproduction items and those with an Oriental influence.
