Pelham's Fine Furniture & Ceramics
In the heart of creative St Leonards, East Sussex discover unique ceramic and fine early furniture. We have a workshop behind the shops where the ceramics are designed and created and the furniture is restored. Liz Emtage has been designing and creating translucent porcelain lighting, tiles and pieces for the home for more than 20 years. Geoff and Liz decided to open 'Pelham's fine furniture & ceramics' in 2016 in an informal and welcoming setting.

Geoff Osler has been restoring and gilding furniture for over 25 years and has a passion for the finely crafted pieces he sells. There is nothing quite as magical as working with a good team of people. In team sport a good team is what succeeds - the ball moves quickly, nobody is trying to play the whole game on their own, or sitting on. On Sunday it is Mother's Day.

As a child I loved Mother's Day - it was a happy time as the house and garden was filled with daffodils and my Mum was always very pleased to receive our handmade Mother's Day cards.

Pelham's fine furniture & ceramics was born out of a belief of the old and new sitting happily side by side.
After all most interiors are like this.
Ceramic artist Liz Emtage and furniture restorer Geoff Osler have been working alongside each other for over 20 years with Geoff rejuvinating old furniture for large antique shops and collectors alike and Liz making and designing ceramics for private clients, interior designers and shops world wide.
The commissioning process is one of my favourite activities.
It is a chance to work in collaboration with my clients and find out more about what they want.
They often come up with new ideas that I wouldn't have thought of on my own and between us we create new lighting and tile pieces for their home.
She had seen the cowparsley coasters that I had in our shop and she liked the size of the coasters and the effect that the cowparsley flowers have pressed into the porcelain clay.
She wanted her tiles made the size of the coasters and was keen to have the cowparsley flowers impressed into her tiles too.
