An experienced craftsman and cabinet maker, Robert Armitage has been creating high quality bespoke furniture in Bath for more than 20 years. His coverage area ranges from Bath and Bristol to Chippenham, Corsham, Trowbridge, Bradford-on-Avon, Melksham and most of Wiltshire, Avon and Somerset. All of the furniture featured on this website was designed by Robert to the customer's specific requirements and created in his small Melksham based workshop. Robert believes in simplicity of design and durability of materials to produce a product that is built to last. All of the doors on the items of furniture featured on this website have been hung on butt hinges recessed and screwed into hardwood in the traditional way.
All the Drawers on the Furniture are Dovetail Jointed out of Solid Hardwood. Every effort has been made to use materials, products and finishes that will not become obsolete over time so that even if accidentally damaged there is little reason why the product cannot be easily restored to its original condition.
