Griffin Furnitures creates handmade bespoke furniture, undertaking projects for architects, conservators, builders, interior designers and private clients. Douglas has been designing and making furniture since 1992. He trained at Rycotewood College in Thame, one of the area's leading colleges and gained a distinction in Furniture Design and Making.

Their workshop is located at Ibstone, in the heart of the Chiltern countryside. A picturesque area with a history of furniture making based on the availability of local woods. Every project is a collaboration of clients ideas and their expertise at arriving at a design solution that is both functional and beautiful.

Projects undertaken range from renovation work in a 400 year old cottage, or a hand crafted pulpit carefully aged to match existing church woodwork, to contemporary buildings where people want either an individually designed item of furniture, or furniture fitted to maximise space and utilisation, such as a kitchen or study.
