A true entrepreneur, aged just 21, Joe set out on a trip to India to source a trusted supplier of furniture.
Inspired by his family home, Joe was seeking high quality, unusual and rustic pieces that told a story.
After a successful trip, Joe returned home with a clear vision and the beginnings of a plan.
This first shipment included pieces of reclaimed boat wood furniture which was popular at the time.
Although unintentional, the recycled and sustainable nature of this kind of furniture sparked an interest between the company and its valued customers.
