Danish Homestore dates back to 1986 when the first dedicated shop opened it's doors in Wellington St, Leicester. Founded by Roger Harrison, who had been supplying smaller second-hand dealers, after it was evident there was a hunger for quality Danish furniture. The Leicester shop soon became the go to place for shoppers wanting a different look and quality at a price they could afford.

Since then the whole market for second-hand furniture has changed and what we now know as Vintage was in no small part started by Roger. Today the shop occupies a large building in the centre of Nottingham after moving there in 1991 and closing the Leicester store. Roger is still a large part of the business but is no longer travelling to the UK as this role has been taken over by Simon, his son.

The shop is still a go to place for collectors and admirers of vintage Danish furniture from the period 1940s to Modern day as Danish homestore has built a reputation for quality and above all beautiful restored furniture from the likes of Hans Wegner, Illum Wikkelso, Finn Juhl, Niels Koefoed and many many more.
