After a keen interest in wine was sparked by years in the restaurant trade, Allan Gledson moved to Australia in 2004 to follow the dream of making wine, rather than selling it. Whilst in Australia, Allan was lucky enough to work at some of the finest wineries in the region and became the Cellar Master at Western Australia's oldest cool climate vineyard and winery.
In 2014 Allan moved back to the UK to start an exciting new chapter, combining his love of wine and woodwork, to create bespoke furniture for wine lovers. The last 7 years has seen the business go from strength to strength, bringing in brand new designs and sending unique pieces of furniture to customers all over the globe. Rewind to 2017 and David Forbes first saw Allan's furniture when he walked past a pop up shop in Victoria Gate, Leeds, and he instantly fell in love with the twist on woodwork and wine.
At the time David was studying carpentry, and within a few months of their chance meeting he was onboard, full time in the Wine Barrel Furniture Co. workshop.

Our bespoke wine barrel racks and drinks cabinets are all handmade to order by us.
We only use the finest red wine barrels for our wine racks, which are completely unique.
Our wine barrels are exclusively in a size called 'barrique', which holds an impressive 225 litres of wine!
Predominantly sourced from some of the finest wineries in Bordeaux, they're perfect for creating completely bespoke wine barrel furniture, and ideal as unique and eye-catching handmade wine racks.
Before we even start work on any of our wine racks, the barrels spend around 2 weeks in our unique drying room.

Made to your measurements, you can also choose how you want your Acier to look; Choose the steel finish from either an industrial look with exposed welds, or a sleeker finish with flush welds and a black powder coat.
