Our founder Mr Harry Ponsford started the company in 1893, originally selling goods from a wheelbarrow.
By the 1930's the business was flourishing and moved to its location on London Road, Sheffield - the premise we still occupy today.
We maintain the same principles today for quality of product and service that were promoted by Harry in the late 19th century.
The mixture of quality furniture, furnishings and unrivalled customer service levels helped Ponsford continue to grow throughout the next 50 years.

Take the A61 Chesterfield out of Sheffield heading south for approximately 4 miles.
Take the B6057 Sheffield Road exit signed Dronfield at the roundabout and follow this road to the bottom of the hill.
Turn right at the lights over the railway bridge onto Wreakes Lane.
Follow this road for 600 yards, the warehouse is on the left hand side before the Sainsburys Superstore.
Exit the motorway at Junction 29 and follow the A61 through Chesterfield.
Follow the Dronfield Bypass (avoiding the Dronfield/Unstone exit) to the roundabout and turn hard right onto the B6057 Sheffield Road.
Take the B6057 Sheffield Road exit signed Dronfield at the roundabout and follow this road to the bottom of the hill.
