With over 25 years experience as a furniture designer and maker, I specialise in custom fitted cabinetry and bespoke furniture. Handmade furniture or cabinetry is a lasting and unique expression which complements any home or office space by adding value, warmth and functionality. As an experienced and committed craftsman working predominately in timber and veneer finishes, I bring together contemporary styling with traditional methods of making.
However it is not unusual for me to be involved in more diverse projects using a variety of materials. The basis of my work is focused on attention to detail and I take great satisfaction in both fulfilling the client's specification and guiding design to meet individual budgets. Previous clients include: The Guardian Newspaper, Opera North Leeds, York St John University, Leeds Media Centre, architectural practices, and private clients.
Please browse through my portfolio and should you wish to discuss your projects, however large or small, do contact me.

Finding a well made, free-standing piece that not only fits and looks good in an alcove can be a tricky, if not an impossible task!
Especially when you want to make the most of that awkward storage space either side of a chimney breast.
The best and often only solution is to commission a Furniture & Cabinet Maker to produce a custom cabinetry piece for you.
With so many possible style, material and layout combinations to choose from it is easy to create that personal, unique and lasting piece of furniture that just can't be found on the High Street.

Commissioning a piece of handmade furniture or cabinetry is a rewarding process for both the customer and the maker.
It is a chance for you to have a project built to your exact requirements.
The process is defined by 4 stages.
The initial consultation takes place through the form of an informal meeting, ideally in the environment the piece is to be placed.
The function, style, materials, finishes and budget can be discussed.
Following this a written estimate and brief will be issued.
If you are happy with the brief and estimate we can proceed to the 'Design' stage.

Offering a bespoke design and making service makes it quite difficult to provide a straight forward and accurate pricing guide.
Due to the diversity of materials and uniqueness of each design every quotation is tailored exclusively to the individual customer's requirements and budget.
It goes without saying that furniture pieces will be more expensive than those found on the high street, however when considering the benefits of commissioning a bespoke piece of furniture or cabinetry I do believe that what I can offer is a high quality and personal service with a sensible price tag.
