Services
I started the business in Hebden Bridge in 2003 as Hebden Renovation Company Ltd.
In 2015 I moved to South Yorkshire and relaunched as CIDA Wood Design Limited.
My ethos has always been to offer a very personal service, to establish trust, and to be attentive to my client's needs.
The client-centred approach means that I will meet with you to discuss your project, offer a written quotation, provide you with a timescale for completion of the project.
I involve others in the work when I can and will always work with people who share similar interests in design, quality and client approach.

Wood is a natural product with many different characteristics that can be used by the carpenter.
Colour and grain are obvious, but stability, durability, texture, strength and hardness are equally important.
Should the wood be freshly sawn or should it be dried to a very low moisture content to function in a modern home?
I consider all of these things when choosing the wood for the design and for the product being made.
I generally make monthly trips to my preferred timber yard to personally select the timber I will be using for you.

These doors are individually hand made using traditional carpentry skills and modern construction equipment.
They are constructed from Quartersawn Air Dried European Oak - for greater stability and the most attractive grain.
This produces strong doors, best protected from the effects of moisture, and ones that will look good for years to come.
The doors are completely bespoke, if you look at the images in the gallery you will see a range of design options, but I am able to work with you to produce exactly the door that you might want.
