Based in Amble in Northumberland, our company specialises in furniture, soft furnishings, fabrics and sundries. We also offer a restoration service and automotive trimming.

P.E.C. Furniture started life in 1970 when Peter Cutts, a furniture designer, was made redundant.
With a six month old son and job prospects bleak, he and his wife Eileen decide to go it alone.
Starting in a converted dairy building in Bedlington we began to build the highly regarded reputation that we keep to this day.
Business grew, more staff joined and we moved into a purpose built unit on the then Amble Industrial Estate.
Then the family business grew.
Peter and Eileen's son, Alan entered the family business straight after school and trained at Salisbury in traditional upholstery, winning various awards and accolades.

All the frames are made using hard wood by our frame maker here in our workshop and then the upholsterers set to work on transforming the bare wood frame into a handcrafted piece of furniture.
P.E.C. Furniture like to invite the customer to come to our workshop and try the furniture out before it's finished to make sure it's right for them.

From little things like rewebbing a seat, to the larger projects of restoring upholstered antique furniture or a full three piece suite.
When we recover furniture we don't just take the cover off and put the new one on.
We take it back to the frame and fix any creaks or groans that have appeared over the years.
Then we replace any springs or padding to make the furniture as comfortable as it was when new.
