From an early age I had a passion for woodworking after watching my dad build most of the furniture in our family home. I quickly found a love for creating wooden furniture at school. After studying Art, Design Technology & Business studies I wanted to turn my hobby into a business. Ben Simpson Furniture was born! Once I had sourced the highest quality materials, I started to create a range of rustic inspired solid wooden furniture and shelving.
After a few years building furniture and growing the business from my parents shed I teamed up with long time friend and school mate Luke Kiernan. Luke started out much the same as me, developing a love for creating wooden furniture at school, furthering his skills by studying Product design & Business Studies at college. This allowed Luke to develop his knowledge of design and product placement in the market.
After teaming up with Luke we started designing a new range of Industrial shelving and furniture. The brief was to infuse rustic timber with classic ironmongery to create a new Industrial style.

Starting at the very beginning we only use responsibly sourced FSC certified Northern Scandinavian Pine and pack our products in 100% recyclable packaging | We always recycle or reuse waste products from our manufacturing process which include Wood Offcuts, Sawdust, Cardboard & Plastics.
All our wood is responsibly sourced FSC certified Northern Scandinavian Pine.
We only use the highest grade joinery pine.

When you buy any of our handmade products, your parcel will include all of the necessary fixings to safely install the shelving or furniture.
If fixing to plasterboard, you will need to purchase the correct wall plugs.
We're unable to advise on the plasterboard fixings as every wall varies.
We suggest speaking to a member of staff at your local DIY branch.

All our wood is Kiln Dried with a Moisture content below 10% this gives us the confidence that the timber will acclimatise to its new surroundings without warping or bowing.
Including unique grain patterns, saw marks, splits & sanded edges which has become our trademark style.
