Rest & Easy was first opened by Terry, in premises next door to the then Marcher Sound FM. Andre, Terry's son-in-law, joined the business and opened up his own shop in Queensferry (Absolute Comfort Furniture), focusing more on beds, but still with a wide range of other products.
